We arrived, or so we thought, late; probably about 20 minutes late. But there was a line outside so we both let out a sigh of relief. So we get in line and wait and we overhear one of the bouncers asking the group in front of us if they were 21. We approached him and said we both were. IDs were checked, wristbands were fitted to the wrists and we went in. There were literally, I'm not shitting because I counted, 15 people in there before us. So we walked over to the bar LIKE FUCKING BOSSES, and took 2 shots of some overpriced kinda shitty whiskey. But what the fuck ever we were in and not even 10 feet from the stage. We knew this was to be a night to remember for the rest of our lives. Possibly even tell our grand kids about what was to ensure.
We successfully completed our goal, but something weird happened. We found new artists. First up was a guy from New York City, name's Yc The Cynic. It's rapper like him that make me want to go see more shows. He's pretty good, I love discovering more artists by hearing them. Shits sick. Then some guy named Mike Blaze, another guy you guys should listen to. In a sort of ironic twist, Casey Veggies was the next to perform. I say it's ironic because when the King and I went to see Mac Miller, he was the opening act. Everyone in the crowd went fucking crazy when he came out. Casey Veggies has such intense stage presence you have to get into it and go fucking buck wild. Then randomly he brought out Juicy J. Shit went fucking bonkers when he ran on stage. A couple songs later Dom Kennedy decided to drop by. I can't put into words what the fuck happened.
After Casey was the reason I personally bought a ticket, XV. A little back-story, and I'm pretty sure most of you already know this, I fucking love XV. Since I first heard him it was love. He changed my life, as corny as it sounds its true. My only REAL goal this year was to see him in concert. I fucking did it. He was right there, and i was watching him. I can't put into words the emotions I was feeling. It was like all the goals I have set for myself completed in that one second before he started to perform. It was fucking bliss. He slaughtered that place. I have so much respect for any artist that is willing to do songs from mixtapes 2+ years old. I won't go into too much detail about his performance, but I will say it was well worth the money.
Next came Pac Div. I have heard a couple of their songs, but I admit, I kinda wanted to leave after XV. I'm sooo fucking happy I didn't. They did their first 3 or 4 songs in fucking suits with bowties. Will you ever see that shit at a Lil Wayne or Drake or what ever shitty music everyone listens to? NO YOU FUCKING WON'T. That's why this is was fucking awesome. After a couple songs they went back stage and changed. While they were changing this band played probably the most chill/relaxing songs. It was awesome. So Pac Div came back out and the crowd went fucking wild. It was awesome. After a few songs they announce that the next song is dedicated to a homie who recently passes on and for us to go fucking wild for him. We did. I don't think i have had so much fun as I did during that song. I mean i didn't know what song it was until it was over. It was fucking, just unbelievable. They did a couple more songs and of course the energy never died. It was honestly one of the best experiences of my life.
If I was to one complaint it would be that it lasted between 4 and 5 hours, standing the whole time. But after a while I got used to it. For the record this wasn't really a complaint it was more of way of saying how long this shit lasted.
I could really go on for longer about how fucking amazing this was, but i've said enough.
Stay High, Stay Fly
