If you can handle of course..

A couple of months ago my best friend Birdy and I came up with this idea that every 2 weeks(usually our pay days) we would each contribute 25 dollars and buy an 8th of marijuana and smoke out every person we encountered that smoked weed. The idea wasn't just to get high and be low life pot heads like most people label us, but to meet new people, socialize with different groups of kids that we would never have under different circumstances. And so began dt50me . It has quickly turned into more than an excuse to get high, but a social event amongst our friends, trading music interests, life storys, random adventures, and an excuse to just be kids in this tough world. Sit back burn one up and enjoy the music and art we have posted. If you have any ideas for music or want your music or art posted just send us an email to dt50me@gmail.com

Music

Music is an amazing thing. Music is one of the only things in this world that can cheer you up by basically doing nothing. Everyone has their own songs they listen to at certain times. What confuses me is the radio. They don't play good music. They play music not for the musical or lyrical content, but because of who made it. Prime example is Lil Wayne. He hasn't had anything good since Tha Carter III. But somehow he keeps getting on the radio. Same goes for Drake. All his songs are the same. Every song. Just to prove my point, once a musician becomes mainstream, all their songs change. Another example, Wiz Khalifa. I'm not hating on him, nor am I saying that he sucks now. But look at the songs on the mixtapes Burn After Rolling and Kush & OJ, the two mixtapes he dropped before he dropped Black and Yellow. You can tell that the label told him to make Black and Yellow. It's nothing like his other songs, if i recall, theres only one mention of marijuana. That's not Wiz to me. It just kinda agitates me that once someone "makes it" their whole style of music changes to please the masses, I just wish someone would stay true. Anyways, I wrote this long ass rant because I want to post this song. A personal favorite.

Stay High Stay Fly,
Birdy
